GOAL: Raise $15 Million to Bring More Medical Pediatric Specialty Clinics to Yakima
Children's Village Medical Clinic Quick Facts
Six medical specialty clinics available through physicians traveling from Seattle Children's Hospital to Yakima: cardiology, neurodevelopmental, neurology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, and genetics
Demand for cardiology services has more than doubled in the last 10 years
Over 4,000 medical visits are scheduled per year
233 appointments with cardiology specialists were prenatal patients
1/3 of the 200+ cardiology prenatal visits became Children's Village patients after birth—illustrating the crucial tie Children's Village provides in care before birth, after delivery in the hospital, and into childhood
Your support will help increase & strengthen care:
- Increase access for families to specialty clinics by increasing exam rooms from 8 to 18
- Add a pediatric urology department and other medical specialty services through contracting with regional pediatric specialty centers such as Seattle Children's Hospital
- This expansion will allow Children's Village to bring in specialty medical clinics with a lab, which is not currently on site
- Expand drop-in playroom so children who don't have an appointment can be cared for in the playroom while parents focus on the appointment
